Free NHS Staff Bus Travel 

Changes from Monday 30th October:

The trial of free bus travel on all First York services for NHS Foundation Trust & Facilities Management employees finishes on Sunday 29th October.

From Monday 30th October 2023, any NHS Foundation Trust & Facilities Management employees who show a valid Trust ID badge when boarding will pay a discounted £1 fare for each bus journey. The offer applies to all timetabled services, seven days a week (excluding the C1 & C2 university services).

Free Staff Bus Travel

In partnership with York Hospital, we are offering free bus travel for NHS Foundation Trust and Facilities Management employees on all First York services (including York Park & Ride and University services).

From Thursday 1 June 2023, staff will be able to use the bus services for free to travel to and from work. The offer applies to all timetabled services, seven days a week. The trial has been extended and will operate until Sunday 29th October.

To use the offer, simply show a valid Trust ID badge when boarding and state where you are travelling to/from for work purposes. 

Which Bus?

The bus routes which pass closest to York Hospital are:

• Service 6 connects Osbaldwick to Clifton Moor and picks up / drops off at the Hospital
• Services 1, 5 and 5A pick up / drop on Haxby Road
